Gary A. Bolles writes and lectures around the world on the future of work learning, and organization. He is the author of The Next Rules of Work: The Mindset, Skillset, and Toolset to Lead Your Organization Through Uncertainty (Kogan Page, 2021) and has nine courses on LinkedIn Learning with a total of over 850,000 learners, including “Learning Mindset” and “Learning Agility”.

As Chair for the Future of Work for Singularity University, Bolles helps people understand the impact of exponential change on the world of work and education. As a partner in the consulting agency Charrette LLC, he helps organizations, communities, educators and governments develop strategies to meet the needs of tomorrow’s workers and learners. And as a co-founder of, he helps job-hunters and career changers with programs inspired by “What Color Is Your Parachute?”, the world’s enduring career manual.

Bolles is the former editorial director for six technology publications, a serial entrepreneur and a former Silicon Valley executive. Bolles is dedicated to helping individuals, organizations, communities and countries to collaborate on effective strategies to ensure that all people can have access to meaningful work and lifelong learning opportunities.
